
Zaw Maung (1967-2013)
Instead of using thin washes like many watercolourists of previous generations, Zaw Maung paints his canvases with saturated colors in fine details. The result is vibrant watercolor paintings that look very realistic to the audience.
1967 Born at Sagaing, central part of Myanmar
-Studied painting under a famous cartoonist, Aung Aung and artist Ko Su (Min Gwun)
-Water Color is his favorite medium
1998-2012 Participated in the group art shows of State School of Fine Arts (Mandalay)
